On October 31st, Samhain, the veil between what is ending and what is beginning thins enough to step across.

This is the witch’s new year, the night the old ones left the finished version of themselves on the far side and walked back new.

It lands in Scorpio, the sign of the phoenix, the one that rises from what it burns away, and this year its ruler Pluto has just turned to move forward again while Mercury and Venus drag the past up to be released.
